Position Summary:

The Outside Sales Representative drives sales growth by actively seeking and cultivating new business opportunities within their designated territory. Utilizing a combination of in-person visits, outbound calls, and targeted emails, the Outside Sales Representative identifies and engages potential clients who are not using our services. This role requires a proactive approach to building and maintaining a robust book of business while delivering exceptional client service throughout the sales process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Seek new sales opportunities through various channels, including networking events, cold calls, and targeted emails. 
  • Research and identify key decision-makers within prospective client organizations to generate interest and foster relationships. 
  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with new and existing clients to drive retention and repeat business. 
  • Accurately enter and maintain client data and sales information in relevant systems. 
  • Consult with clients to understand their event rental needs and provide tailored recommendations to meet their requirements, while identifying opportunities for upselling. 
  • Provide expertise in event planning and design, offering guidance on table and linen sizes, furniture layouts, and overall event aesthetics. 
  • Ensure thorough understanding of client requirements to effectively qualify opportunities and ensure successful event execution. 
  • Achieve or exceed performance quotas by consistently closing sales and exceeding client expectations. 
  • Address and resolve any client issues or concerns that may arise. 
  • Foster relationships with industry professionals through networking events, trade shows, and conferences. 
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow and support clients within designated account segments. 
  • Educate clients about our company and keep them informed of new products and industry trends. 
  • Maintain comprehensive sales activity reports and participate in regular sales meetings to track progress and discuss strategies. 
  • Conduct site visits, record measurements, and provide event diagrams and drawings as needed. 
  • Prepare rental sales quotes and contracts to formalize agreements with clients. 
  • Reach out to a minimum of 10 new or dormant accounts each week to drive business growth. 
  • Manage all leads in a shared drive spreadsheet and company CRM system.  
  • Showcase products in Mood Boards.  
  • Conduct facility tours to showcase our operation.

  • Perform additional duties as required. 

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of demonstrated sales experience, preferably in a related industry. 
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for travel to client meetings. 
  • Proficiency in persuasion techniques and value-added selling methodologies. 
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales performance metrics. 
  • Strong communication skills with ability to effectively engage clients via phone and in-person meetings. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office, with creative skills for product pairing and interior design. 
  • Ability to create Mood Boards using PowerPoint and utilize Social Tables for event diagrams. 
  • Adequate internet capabilities for Remote Desktop Service and competence in video conference selling. 
  • Excellent multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. 
  • Knowledge of the event or catering industry. 
  • Completion of Behavioral and Cognitive Assessments through the Predictive Index. 
  • Successful completion of company background check and drug screen. 

 

Compensation and Schedule:

  • Base salary $55,000 plus commission.
  • Weekly schedule requires 40–50 hours of work, split between office and fieldwork in the Orlando area.
